Parent + Child ADHD Class on Zoom

The number one complaint I hear from parents of 5 – 11-year-old children with ADHD is about behavior. Whether it’s over bedtime, meals, screens, homework, or just listening and following rules and expectations, you are in a constant battle.
My parent coaching program has helped many parents reframe their approach and gain success in this area. It is important to note that nothing I teach you is about behavior modification. It is about discovering what your child’s struggles are – with executive functioning skills, frustration tolerance, social-emotional needs, sensory challenges, communication, learning – and finding ways to address the root causes.
Now, I’m taking it a step further and offering a Parent + Child class that will improve routines and communication and help restore peace to your household. By involving your child directly in collaborating, you are showing them that they are an important partner in your relationship.
The aim of this class is to get your family into a practice of developing and sticking with routines, being able to have fun together and communicate openly, and use goal-setting and mindful practices to grow together. We will have a class activity each week that will be fun for everyone! We will focus on family connection and goal setting – with improved behavior and executive functioning skills as the projected outcomes!
The format will be Zoom classes over 6 weeks. We will keep it short with a lesson and something interactive. At least one parent must attend with your child(ren).
Week 1: Family mission statement and goal setting.
Week 2: Routines – why you need them and how to streamline them.
Week 3: Mindfulness for emotional regulation.
Week 4: What does your body need to feel regulated?
Week 5: Improve communication with these strategies.
Week 6: The importance of play as a family, and independently.
Time: Thursdays 4:45– 5:15 pm (ages 9 – 11) and 5:30 – 6:00 pm (ages 5 – 8).
Dates: January 13 – February 17, 2022
